About Fairmont Housing Authority (FMHA)

The Housing Authority of the City of Fairmont (FHA) has been serving the communities of Marion, Monongalia, Taylor and Preston couties since 1958. The Housing Authority of the City of Morgantown (MHA) which serves the City of Morgantown has been managed by FHA since 1986. In 212, the pending merger of these two agencies will create The Fairmont-Morgantown Housing Authority (FMHA). FMHA is a federally funded agency that serves the communities of Marion, Monongalia, Taylor and Preston counties.

FMHA offers a variety of services including low income rental assistance, a family self-sufficiency program, a lease-to-purchase program, mortgage origination services, housing rehabilitation, counseling, foreclosure counseling, Homebuyer Education classes, Post Purchase Education classes, a homeowner preservation program and down payment assistance program.
